| Bio: | We are a new online literary/art magazine just setting up for our first issue. Our target market is younger people between the ages of 18-35, but anyone is welcome to submit. Our first issue's theme is, fittingly, "Beginnings."
We're looking for poetry that makes people realize that poetry isn't a lost art. We're also looking for personal anecdotes, "blog"-type essays about a personal experience that made you see you the world in a new way. It doesn't have to be anything too epic or earth-shattering; it can be as simple as, "I noticed this funny thing about humanity when I was at the supermarket."
We are also considering short stories, or reviews of films or albums. Really, this journal is going to be a celebration of art with a spotlight on the method used to communicate it: writing.
Generally, we're looking for offbeat but well-written entries. The first issue should be published within a few months, depending completely on the volume of entries we receive.
Please do not allow your word count to exceed 1000-1500 words. Remember, our theme for the first issue is "Beginnings," so that means whatever you interpret it to mean. We will embrace your creativity in our cyber arms.
